A Hard Day's Weekend

Another Bank Holiday to be taken advantage of, so off I toddled to Liverpool to see one of my bezza mates Jessica (who insists that i link to her site using the phrase "Liverpool transvestite" and helped me with stuff like the Tranny Licence). Plan: to use Jessica's classy Liverpudlian pad as a staging post for a trip to Manchester Pride on the Saturday. This was my fourth pride event this year, and I was beginning to feel a bit of "pride fatigue", but it turned out to be a fun day out.

After watching the parade for a bit and tottering around the Village for a while we headed back to Liverpool on a reconnaissance expedition to "G Bar" in preparation for the next night, when my old friends Sophie and Shannon would be joining us.

Liverpool is the home of the Beatles, and the Liverpool tourist board aren't going to let you forget it. But it was a different Fab Four who hit the town on Friday. I think I'm the Lennon of the group (I'm a bit of a dreamer and I'll probably get shot one day), Sophie's the McCartney (she's a vegetarian), Jessica's the Harrison (the quiet one), and Shannon's the Ringo (she'd be good at talking about trains).
