The party went on until 10:00am (although I must admit I was a bit of a lightweight and ducked out at 8:30 in the morning!).

At about 7:00am I realised that half way round the world a lot of my friends were getting ready for another party... Trans-Mission back in the UK was just getting started!

Sunday daytime was spent sleeping.

Sunday evening and we were out trannying again! At one of the many post Mardi Gras recovery parties. Luckily I'd packed more than one outfit.

Before we got there we had time to take in the some of the sights of Oxford Street, Sydney's "pink strip" of gay clubs and bars. We met up with Lorraine, another ex-pat tranny from Dublin and a really fun girl. She'd flown the tranny flag the night before by marching in the parade.

We ended up taking in a drag show called Polly's Follies, a kind of drag queen "open mic night" for up-and-coming drag talent. (Although with all the miming to camp classics going on, the mic was very definitely closed!)

There were some stunning girls there, both strikingly feminine and, well, just striking.

Then it was on to Pure Platinum, the sometime strip bar. No strippers in evidence tonight, except for a rather enthusiastic male one who made an appearance at one point. But the G&Ts flowed freely and I, er, got a little carried away.

After Pure Platinum it was back up to Oxford Street to sample cocktails at Gilligan's, then on to Stonewall (pictures from this time are a little blurred, as are my memories), and then home!

All in all a top weekend. Katya and Miss Cyanne showed me one of the best weekends of my life, and I can't thank them enough for it. They made what was already a great holiday truly special.

I left the next day to continue my Australian travels...
