The Plan:

First - (Optional) Meet for a meal at the Chung Ying Cantonese restaurant on Ladywell Walk at 7:30 PM.

Later - Head off into the bars and clubs of the Birmingham gay quarter (Hurst Street and environs), probably ending up in the Nightingale club.

Later Still - Crash out in a hotel.

I may need to collect a deposit for the restaurant from diners in advance of the date.

After the meal the party will move on to the bars on Hurst street (a very friendly gay district, look for the rainbow flags!) and probably end up the Nightingale club, a large 3-story nightclub featuring 2 dance floors, several bars and a restaurant area.

Recommended Hotels:

Ibis Birmingham City Centre - cheap, opposite to the meal venue, and very near to the gay quarter.

Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre - also very near the gay quarter and meal venue.
